Dorothy Felske

DOROTHY ANNA FELSKE, age 89 of Waseca entered her heavenly home on Tuesday, June 12, 2018 after passing away at Lake Shore Inn in Waseca.

Born on April 24, 1929 in Austin, Minnesota, she was the daughter of Herman and Anna (Kühl) Kreuger.  Dorothy attended school in Austin before moving to Janesville where she attended high school, later earning her GED from Mankato West.  Dorothy worked a variety of places including Birdseye, Waseca Hospital, and Jostens.  She was united in marriage to Edgar Felske on November 30, 1951 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Janesville.  They farmed for several years before moving to Waseca and later Colorado where she was employed by IBM until returning to Minnesota in 1989.   Dorothy was a loving mother who cared for her family and enjoyed crocheting, beading, plastic canvas cross-stitch, gardening, fishing and music.  She was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Waseca.

She is survived by her husband, Edgar of Janesville; children, Carol (Blaine) Brooks of Waseca, Deborah (Charles) Scott of Falcon Heights, Betty (Tom) McShane of New Richland, Joyce (Leland) Schultz of Owatonna, Donald (Cathy Mahrholz) Felske of Florrisant, CO, and Allan (Sherrie) Felske of Rochester; 17 grandchildren; and 26 great grandchildren.   She is also survived by one brother, James Kreuger of Big Lake; one sister-in-law, Darlette Strand of Waseca; and many nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her parents; three sisters, Walltrout Jobe, Hildegarde Tesch, and Lillian Hoffman; and two brothers, Herman Kreuger and Alfred Kreuger.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, June 21, 2018 at 11:00 AM at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Waseca.   Visitation will be held on Thursday, one hour before services at the church.  Burial will follow at Woodville Cemetery in Waseca.
