Marlene was an avid bowler for many years, bowling in 15 national tournaments.  She was also a member of the Waterville Bowling Hall of Fame.  She enjoyed spending time with her family.  Her extended family were the members of North Waseca Lutheran Church who were a great support in a time of need. Marlene was a long time member of the church and cared for the altar for over 20 years.  Her other hobbies were her yard, flowers, playing cards and visiting casinos.  Marlene was an excellent cook and was known for her dill pickles which she loved to share with the Waterville Fire Department.

She is survived by one daughter, Cynthia (Mike) Hamrock of Waseca; two grandchildren, Patrick (Beth) Anderson of Waterville and their children, Danica, Justine and Charlotte who is due any day and Arica (Tim) Burke of Janesville and their children, Crue and Dekker.  She is also survived by one step-brother, Joseph Amberg of San Antonio, TX; sister-in-law, Ardith Peterson of Portland, OR; two nephews, David and Brian Peterson; and three sisters by choice, Diane Bluhm of Waldorf, Harriet Rudd of Rochester, and Neta Oelke of Waseca.    She was preceded in death by her parents; husband in 1998; and one son, Scott Taylor in 1958.
