Deloris Mae Wesley

DELORIS MAE WESLEY, age 83 of Waseca, formerly of Faribault, died on Sunday, February 28, 2010 at Lake Shore Inn in Waseca.

 

Born on June 19, 1926 in Mankato, Minnesota she was the daughter of Albert and Gertie (Brandt) Jensen.  She attended school in Rapidan graduating in 1944.  Deloris married Gerald A. Wesley Sr. on April 18, 1947 in Waterville.  Together they farmed near Morristown and they were later divorced.  Deloris worked at the E.F. Johnson Co. and Lake Shore Inn in Waseca.  She moved to Faribault and was employed with the Faribault Regional Treatment Center, Northfield Odd Fellows Home and Red Owl in Faribault before retiring from Treasure Caves in Faribault.  Delores enjoyed gardening, flowers, fishing, bird watching, animals, gaming, and her beloved MN Twins, Chicago Cubs, Vikings, and Packers.  She also enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.  She was a member of Hope United Methodist Church in Faribault, the Faribault VFW Auxiliary and the Marine Corp League of Faribault.

 

She is survived by three children, Gerald “Butch” (Monica) Wesley Jr. of Northfield, Deborah Wesley of Faribault, and Gatha (Richard) Mittelsteadt of Waseca; five grandchildren; one step-grandchild; three great grandchildren; and two great great grandchildren.  She is also survived by close family friend, Roger Keane of Faribault.  Deloris was preceded in death by her parents and one brother-Sgt. Gordon Jensen who died in Korea on September 30, 1950.

 

Visitation will be held at Prosch-Dennis Funeral Home in Waterville on Thursday, March 4, 2010 from 4-8 PM and continue on Friday, one hour before services at the church.

 

Funeral services will be held on Friday, March 5, 2010 at 2:00 PM at Hope United Methodist Church in Faribault with Rev. Roger Grafenstein officiating.  Burial will take place later in the spring at Sakatah Cemetery in Waterville.
