ERNESTINE MESCHKE, age 94 of Morristown died on Tuesday, March 2, 2010 at Oaklawn Health Care Center in Mankato.

Born on April 24, 1915 in Meriden, Minnesota she was the daughter of Ernest and Elizabeth (Schroeder) Woker.  Ernestine attended school in Morristown.  Following her schooling, she worked for Dr. David Francis in Morristown for many years.  She married Donald Albert Meschke on April 24, 1935.  Together they worked as custodians at the Morristown school for many years.  Ernestine had also worked as a bookkeeper for the Blooming Grove Creamery and also in the grocery store in Morristown.  She loved traveling, playing cards and visiting with family and friends.  She was a member of Bethlehem Lutheran Church and the Ladies Aid as well as the American Legion Auxiliary all of Morristown.

She is survived by three daughters, Shirley Zimprich of Elysian, Virginia (Jay) Rasmussen of Springbrook, WI, and Patricia (Robert) Dolen of Crossville, TN; 11 grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren; and 5 great great grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, one son-Donald, one sister-Eleanor, and one great great grandson-Anthony.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, March 5, 2010 at 10:30 AM at Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Morristown with Rev. Dr. Eugene Chase officiating.  Visitation will be held on Friday from 9:00 AM until the time of services at the church.  Burial will follow at Riverside Cemetery in Morristown.
