LORRAINE B. MARTIN, age 86 of Waseca died Saturday, July 18, 2009 at Lake Shore Inn in Waseca.

Born on March 23, 1923 in Waseca, Minnesota, she was the daughter of Erwin and Bertha (Sotebeer) Papke.  Lorraine graduated from Waseca High School in 1941 and later attended the Minnesota School of Business.  She married Robert Martin on October 7, 1945 at the Methodist Church in Waseca.  Lorraine worked as executive secretary to the General Manager of Birds Eye Division of General Foods in Waseca.  She later worked as secretary to the nurse at Waseca Public Schools for several years before returning to Birds Eye.  She enjoyed playing organ, singing, music, playing cards, traveling, and socializing with friends.  Lorraine was a member of Grace Lutheran Church and the American Legion Auxiliary in Waseca.

She is survived by two sons, Gregg Martin of Waseca and Scott (Holly) Martin of Plymouth.  She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and her sister-Gloria Weaver.

Visitation will be held at Kinder-Dennis Home for Funerals in Waseca on Monday, July 20, 2009 from 4-7 PM and continue on Tuesday, one hour before services at the church.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, July 21, 2009 at 11:00 AM at Grace Lutheran Church in Waseca with Rev. Dan Doering officiating.  Burial will follow at Woodville Cemetery in Waseca.
