KAREN (WARWEG) HAYNES, age 64 of Las Vegas, NV died on Sunday, June 14, 2009 in Las Vegas.

Born on January 2, 1944 in Comfrey, MN she was the daughter of Harry and Emma (Karas) Haynes.  Karen married Scott Warweg in 1964 and worked in Mankato as a surgical tech and later as a nurse in various nursing homes.  After moving to Waseca in 1980 she worked as a nurse and waitress.  Karen later moved to Hawaii where she worked on a cruise ship before moving to Las Vegas.   While living in Las Vegas, Karen worked for many years at the Stardust Casino before retiring and also did private care for seniors.  She enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren.  She also enjoyed sewing, crocheting blankets, and making crafts.

She is survived by four children, Greg Warweg, Todd Warweg, and Candace (David) Bertolino all of Las Vegas and Roben (Chris) Fuchs of Waseca; and four grandchildren.  She is also survived by three sisters, Lavonne Sartorious of South Dakota, Lois (Harland) Hultgren of St. James, and Glenice (Ron) Henderson of Arkansas.  She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother-Vern Haynes.

Memorial services will be held on Saturday, June 20, 2009 at 11:30 AM at Grace Lutheran Church in Waseca.  Visitation will be held one hour before services at the church.  Burial will follow at Woodville Cemetery.
