JOYCE C. BLUHM, age 69 of Waseca, died on Thursday, November 19, 2009 at St. Mary’s Hospital in Rochester.

Born in Waseca on April 7, 1940, Joyce was the daughter of Reuben and Grace (Bathke) Born.  She attended school in Janesville, and graduated in 1958.  Following her schooling, she worked for E.F. Johnson Co. in Waseca.  Joyce was married to Gary Bluhm at the Evangelical United Brethren Church in Waseca on September 30, 1967.  Over the years she worked as a babysitter and at Walter’s Cookbooks, Hardees, Wal-Mart, and Colony Court all in Waseca.  She enjoyed cooking, collecting dolls, spending time with family, and listening to Elvis Presley’s music.  She was an active member of the Evangelical United Methodist Church in Waseca where she enjoyed working with the Youth Fellowship.

Joyce is survived by her loving husband, Gary of Waseca; one son, Steven (Christie) Bluhm of Owatonna; two grandchildren, Brittney Bluhm and Nathan Bluhm; one sister, Barbara Kluge of Faribault; and many nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her parents; and one daughter, Janilee Joyce.

Visitation will be held from 1-5 PM on Sunday, November 22, 2009 at Kinder-Dennis Home for Funerals in Waseca, and will continue for one hour prior to the funeral service at the church on Monday.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00AM on Monday, November 23, 2009, at the Evangelical United Methodist Church in Waseca, with Rev. Elden Eklund officiating.  Interment will follow at Woodville Cemetery in Waseca.  In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to the Waseca Evangelical United Methodist Church.
