MARVIN E. BARTZ, age 78 of Waseca died on Sunday, December 6, 2009 at the Waterville Good Samaritan Center.

Born on July 13, 1931 in Waseca, Minnesota he was the son of Marjorie Wobschall Lueck.  He graduated from Waseca High School in 1949.  Marvin married Deloris Hondel on March 12, 1952 in Owatonna.  He served in the U.S. Army for three years before being honorably discharged in 1959.  Marvin worked at Brown Printing in Waseca for 27 years.  He enjoyed fishing, hunting, playing pool and cards.  He was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Waseca and was a lifetime member of the VFW.

He is survived by his wife, Deloris of Waseca; two children, Brian (Diane) Bartz of Waseca and Cindy (Chuck) Kangas of Durham, NC; daughter-in-law, Marj Bartz of Algona, IA; five grandchildren, Jeff (Jenni) Fette, Jason (Sara) Fette, Chaz Kangas, Nick Bartz, and Adam Bartz; and five great grandchildren.  He was preceded in death by his parents, two sons-David and Duane, and one brother-Levi Bartz.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, December 11, 2009 at 11:00 AM at Kinder-Dennis Home for Funerals in Waseca with Rev. Terry Quick officiating.  Private interment will take place at Woodville Cemetery in Waseca.  Visitation will be held on Friday, one hour before services at the funeral home.
